Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
